I cannot find the key to the shack where the hoe of destruction is kept. Anyone know where it is?

It´s at Loch Lake beach to the northwest in a body of a green trout.
It says body instead of trout, btw. hidden under the branches of some
plant and some green garbage. the Hex-Coordinates are 0588,0455,00 (the Hex coordinates you can see when you press F2).

don´t worry, I´m not that picky today, as it was a recent addition to it (yesterday)

You forgot some other stuff. Mainly the FOV stuff.

Secret passage in test of love: 9 glass swords, death scythe and firedoom staff.

Test of courage: After the first main battle with the mage and liche, searching the corpses will bag you:

Magic armor, magic gorget, magic leggings, magic gauntlets. Plus a great dagger.

Futher up in the caves near the drake: dead warrior woman: Magic shield.

A magic helm that needs to be swapped for a normal helm to open the gates can creativly be taken with a recall spell.

A body just before the dragon has a glass sword, plus a magic axe, and a triple crossbow can also be found in the carnage.

*plus if you are very quick, double click the dragon's body when you kill it, just before the dialoge can happen it's a carcass on the floor for a chance to get dragon gem treasure.

They are just the main ones. Happy hunting.

and btw,

it's easy to stop the difference between a living trout and a dead trout: one has the head toward the north, the other toward the south. I let you find which is which.

For the key to the shed with the hoe, go on the way to cove, then enter the swamp that is on the way, go north, then the path goes east, then you hit another corner that usually has slimes, and the path goes north, well, keep going east to the lake, then head north a little along the shore, and you will spot a rock and cattails, under the cattails you will see a dead fish, click it and it says "body". It will be tail end down. In that is where the key is.

Of course using a cannon or powder keg on the door works nicely too, if you can't be bothered finding the key. I think the Explosion spell works too.

Its been a while since i've played bg all the way through but i distinctly remember there being a second hoe of destruction in a later on dungeon in a dragons nest along with glass swords and some other stuff.

RMajere: could it be that you are confusing the hoe of destruction with the scythe of death? You find one in the Test of Love in the FoV Add-on along with a couple of glass swords.
But IIRC you find another hoe in a cheat room.

I purposely left the cheat room out. Esp. Since it has enough Magic Armor for every char.

I also dont use it (but I've been through there once before) as it makes the game way to un-enjoyable.

The Trinsic cheat room has a full spell book and chests with armor in them.

In Trinsic, stack crates until you can walk up them to the roof of the possesed Blacksmithy. Then, walk behind the Chimney.

Or, as you are cheating anyway, just Hackmove the Avatar onto the roof

I love how they actually went out of the way to explain why there
were never any doors on the west or north sides of buildings in
Britannia (superstition) - I wonder if the trout is another occurrence
of this silly superstition.

On the same note, I rationalize my robbing of Britain's mint in U7
with the fact that they have a west-facing door. (Was that the mint?
If not, close enough. )
