I suppose this question is for Fingolfin:
Is there any chance that we will see a working version of beta 2 for OSX. I'm not sure what caused the beta 1 version to fail, and I understand that you have a lot on your plate at the moment. Can you give us any info?
Any chance of beta2 for OSX?

Re: Any chance of beta2 for OSX?
wjp just pointed me to this, so I guess I have to answer now
Yes, there arce chances. Exult always has worked fine for me, but other people experienced problems. There were these problems:
1) One real bug. However, that was a bug in the *compiler* not in exult, so there was nothing I could do about it. It caused a problem if you used exult for the first time, so I never noticed it myself. I am not sure if this problem is still there, I will have to check.
2) Some crashes were reported. I never could reproduce ayn of them, though, hence I have no idea what the status of this is
3) A problem resulting in a "zlib link error" - this is resolved.

Re: Any chance of beta2 for OSX?
The killer of beta 1 for me was whatever caused it to fail at launch- that is, opening the app produced absolutely no result. There was, apparently, some kind of an error message that showed up if you checked the system log, but I know so little about that side of OSX yet, that I do not remember what it said. Is that one of the bugs that you mentioned?
