Ethicality basin didn't fill with water

Hi all,

I passed the test of ethicality, but the water basin at the shrine didn't fill afterwards so I can't get the water of ethicality. I tested restoring old save points and passing the ethicality test again, but the same thing continues to happen. I would like to just cheat to get the water. I've tried 2 ways of doing this, but have been unsuccessful.

1. I found an item # of 810 (1, 14) for water of ethicality. I can use the shape browser to find item 810 frame 1, which is a bucket of water, but from what I gather I need to be able to switch the "quality" to 14 to make it water of ethicality. I could not find a way to do this through the regular cheat menu or through Exult Studio.

2. I tried turning on egg display and can see an egg next to the basin at the shrine. When I double-click the egg, the basin graphic briefly changes to being full of water but it goes right back and I don't have time to fill a bucket. Any way to make the egg "stick"?

Sorry if I'm asking stupid questions... I don't have much technical knowledge about the workings of the game or Exult. I was just trying to play through both U7's, which I haven't done in 10 years or so. Thanks very much for providing a way for me to do this!

can you provide a savegame right when you passed through the serpent gate into the temple?
I just tried with a savegame, cheat teleported to the temple and easily passed the test and had water in the basin...

it seems you are using a VERY old version of Exult. The savegame was last saved with Exult version 1.4.03cvs Built at: Jul 23 2007 10:35:36
With the current latest version 1.4.9rc1 I cannot reproduce this.

Well, my face is red. After installing the new version of Exult and then figuring out that I had to move the savegame files to the new folder, everything worked perfect. Even the savegames that were created after I passed the ethicality test now have water in the basin. Thanks!!!

Good that it is working out now
The reason why the savegames afterthe test work is the usecode egg next to the basin, it's checking your flags and since you passed the test....
