shortcut for inventory bag

Can we get keyboard keys for inventory bag. current exult definition of inventory isnt what it seems. i key brings up what appears to be the character screen. take for example other rpgs like diablo or dungeon siege or neverwinter nights.
that shouldve been called character screen, with shortcut c.

inventory would be the bag screen. no?

The way U7 used the inventory you can't really have one without the other. Yes, most stuff is probably in your backpack, but the inventory is also on the character and you could be carrying a crate instead of a backpack or several bags in your belt slot and your hands.

Also keep in mind that we are using the keys defined by the original U7 games, we added keys but did not reassign them. Not to mention that both Ultima 7 games predate all those other "RPGs" you mention, and Exult is only predated by Diablo (and whether that is actually a RPG still gets debated).
The original defined the key i to open the inventory (SI, not BG) so that's what it is...
