Ignitus, Snowy - please calm down

Post by Dominus »

Please, calm down and stop spamming the board so excessively. It was kind of funny but now it seems more like endless reruns of HotShots (-> the jokes get boring).
This board is for helping people out mainly and currently it is not interesting to read anymore.
I don't mind you having fun from time to time but you ARE overdoing it.
Thanks

/me points to their posts - 'VAS CORP'.

/me casts 'AN XEN JUX' on I & S to avoid their wrath when the timestop ends.

/me points to whoever had the task to backup the u7 source code - 'AN ZU'

"AN HUR"? stop storm?

I think you'd want "AN TYM" (stop time) ;-)

What about "AN YLEM" (yelm?) and just negate matter.. ?

I did originally think of doing an AN TYM, but an AN HUR seemed more appropriate to the storm of posts those two bring in....... :)

Don't leave Ignitus. This is just in fun, I'm not being serious. Personally your posts don't bother me.

KAL VAS FRIO GRAV!!!

Ah crap!

I'm outta here!

As if this was a discussible topic, infact the topic was none of any of your business, instead of emailing me and Snowy, Dominus decided to publicly humiliate us.
Thanks Peaches.

True. Emailing us would have been common courtesy... but regardless, I have toned down my replies to only topics and questions that I know anything about.

I guess that's acceptable.

The 'problem' with Dominus emailing you in private is that he's
_one_ person, out of quite a few who read the forum. If he posts here,
he's giving everyone on the forum the right of reply, and the ability to
tell him that he's 'over reacting' to your posts.

If he told you by email, the only option to find out if anyone else
supported Dominus, would be to post a "Dominus whined about all my
postings on the forum in email! Am I really that bad?" post here, then
_you'd_ look bad about bringing up apparently private emails in a public area.

Ignitus, I don't think Dominus humiliated anyone. He just asked you to keep the noise level down.

If you want humiliating, then I'm the one to ask. I'm not joking: I have strongly criticized people for their behaviour on this forum in the past, and I don't mind doing it again.

And it doesn't help that in other threads you have been making more abusive and vulgar comments.

SnowyThing: your effort is more than acceptable and quite noticeable. Thankyou.

It does that automatically when we start new threads, I'm afraid :-)

Aww, so THAT's why you almost never put your own posts. You hang out on other people's, like rich hobos, right?

Nadir, you are essentally ignorant to the amount of humiliation felt by anyone other than yourself simply because you cannot judge emotional distress unless its inacted upon you. Darke, I appreciate you and your opinion, I honestly do, the fact is, I do not care much for the majoritys opinion on myself, I would not bring up a thread "do you all hate me" or something like that.
I have no reason to.
Why does Dominus need the entire forum to support him? Does he feed off the power of numbers so much?
See, my line of reasoning follows yours.
Hence, if I'd look bad for bringing up private emails, does he not look bad for bringing up matters in a thread which can't be anything other than "spamming grounds".
If he was going to make a thread in the forum about this, he should have closed it directly afterwards. The power of anti-Ignitus replies will not make me change my attitudes, no matter what they are. Only I myself can change myself.
Thanks for listening to this ramble...

ignitus,
i don't think anyone here wants to change your personality
at all. i guess you should just try to *reconsider* your posts
before you send them.
i know that my english is not that good (i'm from germany)
and maybe there are some misunderstandings here and
there. but i try to be polite and nice to other people the way
i can.
as long as i have been reading the posts of this forum,
the programmers of the exult project have been very polite
and diplomatic to all forum members, and they've been so
to you as well.
just try to think you are in new magincia ;) the inhabitants of
this island would never even think about insulting people.
that means, without the influence of the guardian, of course...
never mind, i don't think i am the only exult-fan here who has
recognized you to be a guy who has some "knowledge"
concerning these issues here...

1st of all, at the time I was posting the first message in the thread the senseless posts from both Ignitus and Snowy were getting out of control.
That's why I posted this and at first it seemed ok. But then a couple of days after this post Ignitus became all "humiliated". Posting bad jokes that could not be distinguished as such (remember, in written words you can't hear sarcasm or irony).
Instead of letting the matter drop he (well not only he) always comes back to this.
If you have felt so humiliated why didn't you say so in the beginning?
(irony on)
Why didn't you write me a private e-mail so we could have put that behind us instead of making bad remarks in all kinds of threads?
(irony off)

My reasons for posting it on the forum instead by private mail:
Darke hit the mark actually. I thought about e-mailing you two but then thought it would be more fair to post it. I am really sorry if that really humiliated either of you. But I suspect the whole humiliation thing is just a scapegoat for Ignitus.

My reasons for not closing the thread:
Phorum doesn't support it. Otherwise a lot other threads would have been closed already.

Ignitus: Please keep your words civil. I think that not only my tolerance is growing thin...

Your hair is too?
First I want to put this to an end, I do feel the need to represent myself when the matter is brought up, no one else will nor does anyone else have the reason to.
Each time I look at the forum I hope to see this thread pushed back and not replied to, even though I eat these words by replying right now, I'd like to see this matter put behind us.
My words seem quite civil to me, if the biting truth makes you angry...Excuse me.
And I wasn't the first to think of this as humiliation, Snowy mentioned to me that it would be nicer if you had emailed us instead of humiliating us, I was voicing his concern more so than my own. It was a bit humiliating I agree, I feel you could have done a better method of it instead of apparently, "feeding hunks of meat to the lions" so to speak, I've apparently became forum-hate fodder or something.
"humiliation" is not my scape-goat.
I've already said I was sorry, you won't accept my apology, you won't respect me. Excuse me.

it is hard to accept an apology if there are always personal attacks mixed with the so called apology.
Respect is earned and not granted for a half-hearted apology.

"I feel you could have done a better method of it instead of apparently, "feeding hunks of meat to the lions" so to speak, I've apparently became forum-hate fodder or something."

I have to say that all this was brought upon yourself. It looks more like you yourself were feeding the lions instead of just shutting up and making it worse.
All I did was point out that you two were spamming and that it would not be appropiate for the exult team to change the face of Julia. Instead of discussing these posts in a civil tone you turned them into flame wars all by yourself. I repeated to both of those threads only near the end (so far).
