Crash with 8 times scaling

Post by Jasonhaven »

Hello got a crash with 1.4.9rc1.

Did setup scaling 8 times then it stays very big, can 't find the exult.cfg file to correct it. When i start game iI see big purple tthing and then it goes to windows 8.1. Did a new install but problem stays.

Before this it worked fine.

sorry I see a big blue thing I think it s the beginnig of game.

Installed version 1.2 and that version worked also crash bugs when changing scaling but could fix it with exult.cfg in directory
and can reinstall it by the way.

Radeon 7000 series, widows 8.1 64 bit, plug an play audio card, but have no problem with sound.

DON'T USE exult 1.2 or 1.4.9rc1!!!!

Ugh. Maybe the link to the older versions should be disabled as well? How are people getting to those versions normally? The link or through a search engine?

Well, the files *are* on Sourceforge and AFAIK you cannot hide them and I am loath to get rid of them since they nicely show some download stats :)

On our download page, we do mention that snapshots are the way to go...

I just downloaded the June snapshot--the instructions on the download page are very clear as to which version to use. It usually pays to read the instructions...;)
