Updated Exult, now my saves are gone?

I updated my Exult build (or at least I think that's what I was doing, maybe I downloaded the wrong thing?) and now when I try to "Journey Onwards" it says I need to start a save first. Was my progress deleted?!

What OS and what exactly did you do to 'update'?
The Exult app should never touch your save or data files.
Ive had the same set of save games on my system for almost 10 years now, theyre the same games I started the first time I downloaded Exult. Finally finished Serpent Isle a few years ago (been waiting to do that since 1993) and still have my save games intact (checked last night when I updated my snapshot)..

If you updated from 1.2 the saves are really somewhere else, namely by default in the folder of the game somewhere...you need to move them where Exult nowadays expects them to be.
The documentation lists where they are expected by default depending on your operating system

The issue was indeed the save location because of updating from 1.2. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does this also change the location where the keyring mod needs to be installed?
