Hi!
I'm searching for this title for Atari ST, but it is Ultima 7, Part 2 Serpent Isle that I'm looking for to be precise.
Does anyone know where I can get it, orginal or whatever (so long as it works and can be played either from original Atari ST or on an emulator)
Any ideas? Thanks!

Ummm... this isn't a warez place, so don't ask where you can find Ultima VII for downloading. If you mean playing Ultima VII on Exult on an Atari ST, I know there's an Amiga port, but I don't know about the ST.

Let the porting commence...

Porting to Atari-ST aint going to be easy.... your going to hit a wall with memory useage real fast. Exult likes *at least* 16 MB of memory. As far as I know, Atari-ST doesn't have this much

Damn! I sold my AtariST about 10 years ago. But I still have my GEM SDK for x86.
Colourless is right about the RAM, though; I think the most you could get was 2Mb. But at least the Atari could use whatever memory was in it without wierd stuff like EMS.

Oh it depends a lot on which Ataris you had. My Mega STE had 4 MB (and even the old STs like the 1024 ST could have up to 4 MB), and it had 16 Mhz, and a Cache, *and* the blitter! One hell of a machine =)
But later machines, like the TT and the Falcon, could have up to (or maybe even more than?) 16 MB I believe, they had a 68030. And at lease here in Germany you could buy various 3rd party ST clones that were based on the 68040 and 68060 and had even stuff like PCI I believe (not sure about PCI, since I haven't been using ST since about the introduction of the Medusa, which was after the Falcon, I believe, so I don't know preciesely).
So, in theory, a port might be possible (esp. since SDL has a rather Ataris ST port. But without a proper system to test on, we can't do it.
And since EA bought us, I am afraid, the likeliness that any of us will do it is rather slime (0?). See http://exult.info/announcement.html

Re: Ultima 7 for Atari ST
I once did an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT version of Ultima 7 and it ran in only 2 megs (and on a 386 SX.)
How come Exult takes 16 megs?

Because Exult wasn't developed on a 386 with 2 megs of RAM.
