I just started Black gate and i noticed couple of bugs.On the isle of fire when i talk to mad mage , golem or deamon they have stange face pictures , i think incorrect.Next thing when i save game there i always quits to windows, game is saved but this is annoying. I use latest official release

the save game thing I fixed by putting exult and u7 in a folder with no spaces
for example
c:\exult\u7
as opposed to my previous c:\ultima\ultima 7 - the black gate\
try that for savegame problem

Hm, it seems your game got corrupted (there was one instant of this corruption related to the isle of fire). Please get the snapshot and replay from a point in the game BEFORE you even got near the isle of fire.
