Sticky message with link to dev sites

Post by Gradilla Dragon »

I was wondering, why not have a frozen sticky post in the forum with links to ES Guides, the Usecode Wiki and other points of interest for those wishing to develop games with Exult?

One of the main problems is people don't know they exist. This leads to others creating yet another site with similar resources, then the site is forgotten as well, and those who contributed once or twice completely forget about that site, and now there are no more contributions, leads to a rarely used web site, and the cycle goes on.

I know ESGuides is already in the Links section as well, but honestly, I doubt even 1/10th of the visitors ever check the links page.

I'll make you an offer, make a post with all these links and some explaining to it and I'll make it sticky (and frozen) :)
Though honestly I don't believe that changes anything, since people who don't look at the links, documentation or FAQ are the same ones who don't read the sticky threads already there :)

I'd agree with Dominus there, I don't think it'd make a difference.

While it is a good idea for those who are new to the site, I don't think the regulars here have forgotten about ES Guides (certainly those who have already posted content haven't).

I don't know why more content hasn't been posted, but probably people just aren't interested in writing documentation/guides.
