Links to Origin's Design Documentation for Moonshade (U7.2:

I accidentally stumbled upon Origin's design documentation for Moonshade in Ultima VII, Part 2: Serpent Isle. The document shows the original plots, ideas and features for Moonshade, many which unfortunately were cut from the final implementation. The document is an interesting read. Most fascinatingly, pages 13-15 disclose the detailed plots of Shamino, after being possessed by the Anarchy Bane, ruling over Moonshade and corrupting its citizens (instead of just killing off everyone.)

I believe the same website also hosts other design documentation for Serpent Isle. Unfortunately, I do not know their filenames.

um.. those were already posted here.. long ago.. by someone else... that page is probably theirs..

in addition to that we got the whole mad mage subplot, and later most of a similar document relating to Monitor ^^;

In the other two discussion threads, Max aka Moscow Dragon reposted an early design outline for Monitor town plots, and Andy summarized and discussed the various cut plots based on his "secret source". Both Max and Andy refused to disclose their sources when asked. They just claimed their sources are dependable and confidential.

Here I am posting the direct links to the original source documentation, straightforward and without all the hush-hush and smokescreen. I believe this is the first time the source design documentation for Moonshade and Mad Monk is being identified and posted.

BTW, I was wondering what happened to the blackrock project? If I'm not mistaken it's the one that try to remake BG and SI according to the original plot... Is the project already stopped or did they moved their site?
It has been a year since the last time I visited their website, and when I try to visit it today to see the progress, the link (http://www.crpgn.org/u7blackrock/) is no longer working.

Why did Mortegro have to get zap two times? Was he fuse with magnitic energy? What happen during the experiment?

I also heard something about Mortegro being at the banquet! But he was left out!

Anyway! Thanks for sharing the docs!
