An even better review right here.

This guy is a legend.
BTW, I dislike mmo/whatevers with a passion. I don't subscribe to the subscription theory.

Re: R. Garriott's new game (OT)
I played the beta...for 1 day. That's exactly how long it kept me in front of the computer.
It's just a nother mmo, standard interface, standard items, boring quests, leveling leveling and more leveling...absolutely nothing new, nothing that would set it apart from the other mmos out there.
On top of all of that it promised to be a first person shooter. Which it isn't... at all!
Just another cookie cutter mmo.
I'm a huge fan of Garriott and expected WAY more from him. Ultimately it makes me question just how much input he had in this game.
I just can't accept that after revolutionizing the mmo industry and creating a game which still, by all mmo standards (except the graphics obviously) stands out and is one of the best to date, he goes on to create a piece of crap like this?
I don't mean to insult Garriott, but this game is just to average.

Well, I'm sure it's nothing selling the license to EA wouldn't fix.

Same here. I rarely play games at all anymore. Real-life hobbies are taking up all my time.

I'm not sure what happened with Tabula Rasa... the original concept *was* revolutionnary and very different from any other MMOG. And in the end we get WOW with Guns. Yipie
