Exult system requirements?
I could have sworn the system requirements used to be right on the front page. Could somebody tell me where they are?
Re: Exult system requirements?
I don't think there ever was one...
Requirements:
A computer
A screen
Some disk space

Re: Exult system requirements?
A mouse would probably help too.
And don't forget some free time.

I'd also recommend a keyboard. It's easier for inputing savegame names and to enter the name of the avatar.

Well the thing is I have a friend who wants to play U7, but I can't be there to mess around with his system to get it to run normally(he's using Win98). And I remember Exult originally requiring like a 750 mhz. processor. His system is not that fast. I was going to recommend it to him. I suppose I will tell him to use it anyway.

Re: Exult system requirements?
I run exult on a 200 MHz ARM processor with no pb.

Re: Exult system requirements?
Using the new party formation code and a 'simple' scaler should make it very usable on slower systems. Exult only takes up a couple of percent of CPU on my machine.
Re: Exult system requirements?
Oh and having a legit copy of Ultima 7 BG/SI helps as well
Seriously I used to run it on a PII 266 and it was bearable.

Re: Exult system requirements?
I run it on a 900mhz without no problem.
-And don't forget a walkthrough, hint and your ultima 7 booklet for the copy-protection question.
-A Soundcard too (the onboard soundcard can do the job) (a modern soundcard do the best (specially with HQ Soundfont) if you don't want to loose the sound experience.
-Some logic too

Sanity and coherence, are obviously not requirements though. Or you'd probably find a few less people on the exult dev team.

It's fine on a K6-2/500, even with one of the good scalers. Compiling it there is getting to be a bit of a drag, though.
Re: Exult system requirements?
Ran fine on my old rig, a PII-400 with 128mb RAM and a Voodoo3 3000 Graphics card
