Telnet games.

Post by IgnitusDragonn »

Anyone know any good text MRPG's that can be played on telnet or something easier to control? Telnet is just...err...kinda stupid, so can anyone prescribe an easier to use telnet-type-game-client...

What does MRPG stand for?

The Two Towers LPMUD

towers.angband.com 999

Eye of the World MUD
http://www.eyemud.com
wot.eyemud.com 2222

...is all that I play now (with telnet).

There is no need to stick your tongue at me. That is what I figured it meant. :) Those two games definately encourage role-play.

Heh, have you played Adventures Unlimited? It's pretty cool. Even though I still am not sure about all the commands, but I'm a newbie :)

When I used to play muds I used Gmud to play. Most people used Zmud.

Try to find a copy of 'ZMud' which is a telnet client designed for use with MUDs. Then try and connect to 'mud.valheru.com' at port 4242 .. I've played there quite a lot some time back ;)

havn't played adventures unlimited, or many of these games
i use to play a few different ones but now only play ones I listed above... btw the port on the first one is 9999 not 999, my mistake

zmud is really good, but it has been so long since I used it... and I think it was nagware/shareware/play-a-few-time-and-then-pay-me-ware

I'm using Simple MU, it definitly exploits my purposes.
Maybe exploit wasn't a good word, I had to resort to my mental thesaurus.

You're not supposed to, because it's not possible.
It was a common-sense joke.

Oh I'm sorry, I thought it was a vain attempt at getting a laugh...
