sounds in Black Gate

Hi! By the way, I just have to say thanks for finally making serpent isle playable on my system. I'm finally getting to enjoy it.

I do have one question. I noticed on the black gate that some sound effects don't sound quite right. No static when monitor goes on the fritz, weird drum sound when guardian is trying to come through the monitor, no moongate sound when the avatar is entering britannia and meets Iolo.

I am curious if this is common or if it is something on my end. I have a Soundblaster Live! If it is on my end do you have any advice?

All those sounds you are mentioning are not there. E.g. no sfx on the intro and on the loading part. The drum sounds are from the music played during the intro.

Are there any plans to update the sfx pack to include the intro or the moongate sounds?

the moongate sound is there but is not used by us :-)
as for the static, not sure what we can do about it. It's not part of the originalsfx so maybe it isused by the speech playback and just not yet implemented by someone who as a clue about such things...

For a temporary fix, when the static shows up on screen,
make a really loud *Chhhshhhhhhhchhhhhhshhhhh* noise. It adds to the realism! ;)
