I just started playing again on my Macbook, using the latest build and the data from the Ultima Collection CD.
I hope someone can help me... I feel really stupid that I can't figure this out, but I can not for the life of me figure out how to get ammunition from the dinosaur bones. (Specifically, the ones between Trinsic and Paws). I double-click on the skull, and I just get a "BLOCKED" message. Ammunition does not increase. I got the flying carpet, landed overlapping the swamp, right up next to the skull, and double-click, and it gives me the single-click identifier 'giant bones', and nothing happens. When I hit "t" and select the skull, nothing happens. My ammunition stays the same each time. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or point me in the right direction here? I don't want my musket(s) to become useless. =(
Thanks.

Re: Bones ammunition?
You should double click the skull and a package drops on the ground. The blocked message means that you're not close enough. Maybe you need swamp boots to be able to do it?

Re: Bones ammunition?
The big skull near Paws is too far into the swamp to just double-click on (it was the same in the original). You have two choices: enable hackmover and then you can double-click and get the ammo (but you can also move the skull and everything else so be careful). Be sure to disable hackmover afterwards. There is also a giant skull near Vesper, to the east of the town and a little ways north. I don't know the exact sextant coordinates (I'm nowhere near >that< sad) but it's not hard to find.

Swamp boots prevent you from getting poisoned when walking over swamp. They don't enable you to reach special places.
