I just met the Chaos Hierophant.

But not after calling his spirt, no sir.

I entered a cave, a little north of the exit to the frozen waste. Some trappers are there and attack you, the cave is filled with junk... and two ghosts that do not attack you wander about. If you talk to them, you'll have a coazy chat with the Chaos Hiero.

Don't think they should hang out there, do you? ;]

Yeah I ran into the same thing. Those hierophants never seemed to like to stay where they belonged. For myself, I could never get them to even appear where they where supposed to be...

There are some ghosts at an old explosive shop. They trigger a conversation with the Hierophant of Chaos too. Seems like a bug in the usecode for the ghosts.

Yes, being able to talk to the ghosts in the explosive shop is a bug that exists in the original, and I'd guess that the cave ghosts are as well. I can't remember if talking to them messes up anything.

I rememember SI being a fairly buggy game in this respect, even though it didn't crash nearly as much as BG.

Hm, I had no problems talking to the "true" Chaos Hierophant once my quest came to that point, Doc. Indeed, I had to, even though I had two times the scroll that he gave me about the ritual.
