Water of Discipline

Post by Dale »

I am guessing that rather than this being a bug it's more of a PEBKAC issue... but I am having troubles bringing Gwenno back. I got multiple buckets of Discipline water, but when I double click any of them and cross-hair her, she just says "Cease and desist!" like all other characters do. I've tried with the bucket both in and out of my inventory all to the same result.

Are you *sure* it is discipline water?

I just ran into this issue as well. I'm sure it's the water of discipline but every time I splash it on her she tells me to cease and desist and the full bucket is put into the Avatar's backpack.

If you need another save game I can submit one.

Thanks, i think one save is enough. On Tuesday I'm back and test for regression.

You are both running SI Fixes, I guess. With normal SI(+SS) I can not reproduce this but with SI Fixes, I can.

Correct. Sorry, I forgot to mention that. I don't know what this means from a debugging standpoint... do I need to report elsewhere?

No, it's fine, but you really need to mention it when you report a bug. Saves me some minutes reproducing it. I'd have tried it anyway in both (plain and fixes) ;)
It's good that you are finding these bugs ;)

Who put together the SI fixes? Does that mean it's your work?

Mostly done by Marzo, first outside of the team and eventually, for years now, as part of the Exult team.

I am running SI Fixes. This is the first time I've used it. I didn't even think of that.

If there are any updates, can you post here? I am in no rush (so please don't take this as rudeness), just want to know when I can update to keep plowing through the game.

Will do, but you will also get an automatic email when the bug report gets closed.

Apologies for resurrecting something semi-old, but I've just run across this too, playing with SI Fixes. Would you like me to submit a bug report too?

No thanks, we know what is causing it but other than Marzo no one dares to muck with that since that is an area not many of us are well versed :)

Marzo fixed it but it needs a new version of SI Fixes. I'll probably have time tonight to make a new package of SI Fixes.
