do you have the original game(s) installed and are the paths set
correctly in exult's configuration?

When I run the installer. I have the games installed. Just that the installer says when it loads up the windows installer that it wont decompact or something the files and fails to install

It says this:

"Setup is unable to decompress and copy all the program files needed to proceed with setup"

Error 112

Ok. My uninformed guess would be the drive with your temp dir on it has become full. That or the installer is unable to write to your TEMP directory.

I don't even use the installer, if you have winzip you can right click on the installer and extract it. Then in the folder it extracts there is a subfolder containing the exult files, just copy this somewhere convenient on your computer, edit the configuration file to tell it where ultima is installed, and play!
