Exult Studio & Feudal Lands Bug

I downloaded the latest snapshot posted on 2015-03-19, and installed Exult Studio, but when I try to launch it I get an in-game popup saying that the current snapshot doesn't support Exult Studio. Can someone please explain what I'm doing wrong?

Also, does anyone know if there is a fix in place for the Feudal Lands bug preventing the black sword from being forged?

Are you sure you are starting the snapshot and not an Exult release?

Good question, I'll admit I'm not good with anything remotely technical. What is the difference between starting the snapshot vs Exult?

The difference is that the snapshots are newer, more than recommended and work with Exult Studio. The latest version of Exult is no longer linked to on our download page for a reason...
Press v in game to see the version number. If it doesn't say 1.5.0svn then you are using an older version. Redownload the snapshot and pay attention to where you install it.
