Trainer in Trinsic (Markus)

I just tryed playing with exult 1.4.03 cvs and the mods keyring 0.10 and interaction/quest 0.5.

I can't get Markus in Trinsic to train me. I don't get the option to choose who he has to train. I do have the money.

I am sorry If this has already been asked. Is this a bug?

mods keyring 0.10
I would recommend that you upgrade to the latest version (available at my website). It works for me normally when I try it here, which means it must be a bug in the older version.

I see, I will try to upgrade then.

I have also had some problems with exult crashing doing start up of U7 part 1&2, the times I get an error it says something about a library run time error? do you know what that is about? is it just because it is a beta. I use the XP pro os.

I might just be stupid, how do I put in this keyring mod?

I have it like this at the moment.

D:\Anime\Ultima Collection\Ultima Collection\Ultima7\patch

The keyring mod is in the patch folder.

so what do I need to add to the exult.cfg thing?

If your U7 files (the static dir) is at "D:\Anime\Ultima Collection\Ultima Collection\Ultima7", create the dir "D:\Anime\Ultima Collection\Ultima Collection\Ultima7\mods" and unzip the files in the zip directly to that dir. If you did it correctly, there will be a "Keyring.cfg" file and a "Keyring" dir inside the "mods" dir you just created; otherwise, copy the aforementioned file and the dir there. When you start Exult, there will be a menu from where you can select the Keyring mod; the readme also gives instructions on how to set up a link to Exult that starts the Keyring mod directly.

As for the runtime error, I will need more details. For starters, can you post the specific error message?

Well, I am not getting it today, so not really. I only remember it refering to the C++ or SDL runtime library and then posting the runtime error that is basically it. But I still have the mystical quits, here are my stdout.txt and stderr.txt files, maybe that will help.

Check out this page. It's a bit out of date now, but it does cover most of the mods.

Back to topic:

Markus still doesn't train me. Not that it is a problem, but I can't get him to train me, even with the newest keyring mod.

Also Just clearing up, the trainer in cove he trains dex, int and combat? is this correct? I have seen on an ultima 7 guide page that he trains str, dex and combat? which one is the correct one?

According to the official hintbook for the game, Rayburt should be training strength, dexterity, and combat.

Hmm... For me he is training int, dex and combat, a problem with the mod I am using or exult.
