Re: New games for Exult?
I'd be quite interested in working on a project. I've mentioned ideas for it in other threads and was going to start a project of my own unrelated to ultima but using Exult as a platform. That's going to mostly a hobby right now considering how much work it's going to take, so I'd be very interested...

I was curious if anyone knows of a site with pictures of the Orb of the Moons accessory from I think Ultima 6.. might have been an earlier one. As far as I've seen, and from what the dev's tell us, the ship wouldn't teleport. Unless a special egg is made or the current eggs modified.

Re: a quick Exult Studio question
I've always loved that series of books, and thought they'd make the perfect RPG environment. So many cultures, and areas to explore. I do admit it'd be nice to look up at the sky in the game and see the Ringworld Arch in the sky, but I still feel an RPG engine is better than a 3D first person engine.

Re: a quick Exult Studio question
It is large, yes. But if you read any of the Ringworld books, the Ringworld itself can encompass a few million Jupiters worth of land all the way around it. I'm not going to make the entire thing though, because that would be ludicrous, but i was thinking of atleast making a large portion of the are...

a quick Exult Studio question
I'm going to start on a total conversion soon, just to see how far I can get basically, based on the Ringworld book series by Larry Niven. Before I start though, I wanted to ask a couple questions to be sure that they would be feasible. I'm going to try to use the Serpent Isle as basis, since it has...

Re: exult updates
Sounds like it'd be alot easier than starting from scratch like I've heard some people suggest. In which case could be useful to expand the cities and areas, but would be a pain to recreate everything, including the dungeons on other maps, as well as the main world map. The dungeons themselves don't...

Actually the full map that was never finished but left in the game files had a spot for Vesper in Ascension. But the condensed map that Origin was forced to use left alot of key locations out, including Vesper. There are several 'desert' or 'desolate' areas in Ascension, but there's none located nea...

True, but normally the host names, which should be the actual server they're connecting through the aol proxies with, is seperated by region. Just to clarify, proxy.aol.com is a generic server. AOL caters to thousands of users, so anyone using AOL's internal browser will automatically show up using said provider. So assuming that everyone who just happens to be an AOL user is the same as "someone else" posting on the boards is a...

I own an Apple IIc and IIgs with all the extra hardware, so this isn't really an issue for me. BUT, it *IS* possible to find emulators that support IIgs, and if anyone is in need of some links I'd be happy to provide them for IIgs and IIc emulators, or any other info for that series of computers.

Re: labeling items
There isn't one in BG. All you have to do to find out is go through the item list in Exult Studio to find that out.
How easy would it be to move items from SI to BG? Like, how much usecode would it encompass, and how hard would it be to get it all working?

That'd be a handy feature. Could get really indepth even though it'd be a lot of work, and make a section in the journal, each time you pick something up, it adds a new item entry to that section and you can go back to edit it whenever you want.

Build your own library. Collect all the books from the world, and carry them to your home/house/cave, etc and start up a library.

It'd be better to create our own story. The fandom needs more adventures of the avatar, not retreads of the old ones. Still like my story, cause it would help wrap up the ending u9 didn't deliver.

That'd be a definite plus having the ability to easily start new maps, insert blank npc's to work with, etc etc with a click of the menu.
