Change log out of date
I've been meaning to post about this for a while, but I see the change log being marked as updated every once in a while (for example, it's marked as being updated today), but if I click through to the log itself, it shows as last being updated on 2017-03-01 (see http://exult.info/snapshots/ChangeLo...

Re: Native Android Port
Yeah, I can confirm that the port works great...except for the interface, which is virtually unusable (KenC does point this out in his first post). So, other than as a proof-of-concept thing, it's really not playable. What's really needed is a from-scratch interface, replacing the mouse cursor with ...

Re: Native Android Port
Okay, it's up and running: I can confirm that the native Android port of Exult works on the Kindle Fire. However, the "mouse emulation" leaves a lot to be desired; perhaps I'll need to play with the mouse options.

Re: Native Android Port
I'm still not able to get it to work on my Kindle. I've copied the game files to the following folders (I had to create the \app-data folder, as it doesn't exist by default on the Kindle). Note that the "root" folder on the Kindle Fire is already \sdcard. \app-data\net.sourceforge.exult\bl...

Re: Native Android Port
Not every Android device has an SD slot (for example, the Kindle Fire). You can connect the Fire to a PC with a USB cable and load stuff directly, but if this port of Exult requires an SD card, the Fire is outta luck.

Re: Pentagram still alive?
I tried playing U8 via DosBox not long ago, and what stopped me from playing much were the controls. Movement was so twitchy, and I hated the need to stop moving to turn. Is there any way Pentagram to improve the movement in the game?

See, and it doesn't work for me. I'm running the latest 1.4.x snapshot. Hitting 'N' brings up the notebook, and I can type, but the text never wraps, and once it hits the middle of the pages it starts just typing blank spaces. I don't see any journal entries, either. I tested this in both TBG and SI...

What else do you need to know? I'm running Windows Vista at 1680x1050. With Exult set at 320x200, the Exult window is really small--I can barely make out detail, which makes playing the game difficult. Of course I can bump up the Exult resolution, but this just increases the viewable distance (which...

I just beat Ultima VI for the first time in many years and reinstalled Exult. I set things up but, when in-game, I'm finding the default 320x200 window almost too small to see on my monitor. I really do like the default scaler (the "scalable" ones are way too pixelated for me). So, is ther...

Cool, thanks. The Pentagram team might want to fix/update the link on their download page, as it's currently broken. Also, is there anywhere I can get a general consensus on the overall stability and "playability" of the program?

I haven't poked around with Exult in a while, but I've been getting that urge to play through Ultima VII again. I know where the 1.2 file is, and I can see the nearly daily unstable releases. I know you probably hate it when people ask when the next version will be out, but hey, when will the next version be out? I keep reading about odd bugs in the 1.4 version, and I'm just waiting for the "stable" stamp on it.

I remember back in junior high (mid 90s) reading through a hint book for Ultimas 1 through 6.
