Re: New combat options...

i would like to see hot keys or a 'belt' style system.. but i think the hot keys would be easier to implement.. wouldnt the belt system take a bit of coding and time to work with the usecode? if its even possible?

Re: New combat options...

is it possible to make an option for different styles of combat.. ie: turn based, real time, ultima style, whole party gets a turn then monsters get a turn.. etc etc.. some people like one style while others prefer a different style.. making it an option if possible would be able to satisfy both sid...

Re: A suggestion that's probably impossible to implement.

sometimes the automatic 'read the faq/documents' gets annoying, considering it has nothing to do with what i asked.. i asked, will there be prefab combinations for use in exult studio in the future, or the possibility of them atleast. no where did i ask how to use the combination feature, what it wa...

Re: A suggestion that's probably impossible to implement.

would it be possible to include later on with exult, premade combinations of objects, such as a roof for a building, or sections of a roof for larger complexes? building the walls and such for a building is the easy part.. building a roof for it that actually disappears correctly when you walk under...

Re: A suggestion that's probably impossible to implement.

since the usecode is quite hard to understand and work with because of the way they're designing exult, i imagine it'd be hard to sort through it all and work out the right functions. seeing as they use the same #'s as drcode says, it would involve either creating an entirely new book to use, which ...

Re: A suggestion that's probably impossible to implement.

screw just adding the book itself.. have a combination of the original spells and the new ones.. i miss my resurrect spell in SI.. it'd be semi possible if the owner of the exult client had both games so the exult team didnt have to send out the actual files needed.. could be an added feature if the...

Re: Could U7 be Garriot's views on religion?

u really want me to type up a 30 page interview from the book? i dont have a scanner, and it probably wouldnt turn out as a very good scan if i did it that way. maybe when i get some free time i'll type up that section of the book and put it up on my domain site. i also reread part of it, and the fi...

Re: Could U7 be Garriot's views on religion?

but ultima's virtues and the events in ultima 7 through 9 do in fact go along with his views on religion. it's mentioned as Darke stated in the back of the ultima 9 strategy guide. i have access to the 30 page interview if anyone needs references. unlike Darke, i kept mine out to play ultima 9 recen...

Re: Serpent Isle List Field Bug

alright, i know cheating isnt the best thing in the world to do, but ive completed both ultima 7's god only knows how many times.. in the list field, if you destroy the chests to open them (yeah, pointless i know), the game really has a problem when you try to fight afterwards. the pikeman goes on a...

Re: Best C++ prog?

if you would reread my post, i said hard core programmers, not the general public of c/c++ programmers. vc++ is used mostly by mainstream programmers, where as borland is used by the more hardcore programmers because of its flexability and the fact that its coding is more indepth then the visual edi...

Re: Best C++ prog?

borland's compiler (normally used under windows systems and i think linux has a version) is what most hard core c/c++ programmers use. there's also visual c/c++ made by microsoft for the windows platform, a lot use it but not nearly as much as borland. and finally, there's a lot of different freewar...
