Now that stupefies me. I Changed the keys to Ctrl+M and it works! Both in the old version and your version.
I changed Create Gold (Ctrl+M) to Ctrl+Alt+M, and it doesn't work.

It's like the combination Ctrl+Alt+M is completely ignored.
All the other 3-key shortcuts work.

@KC: That doesn't matter. In Serpent Isle, any NPC you kill is gone for good.
The Hourglass won't work, taking any bodies to Monk Isle and talking to monks also doesn't work.

I had the same idea while I was doing that sound stuff. Nothing is stopping us to insert fresh new sounds into the games. It'd take away the nostalgia, but it could be fun to experiment.

I get the feeling some of these sounds (the ones listed) stick out like a sore thumb.
If reducing sound in general, it might make lots of sounds too quiet.
