Trouble starting BG

Just recently, I have been having trouble starting BG. It used to work fine, but now whenever I choose it from the start up menu, my computer locks up to a black screen. I need to press CTRL-ALT-DEL and shut Exult down manually. I am using the 6.13 snapshot. The strange thing is that SI works fine. My stderr.txt file is empty and stdout.txt says the following:

Something else that's not related, there is no music in both BG and SI. But I have been reading several posts about this so it seems to be a common problem.

I can't really read the error reports very well, but have you tried reinstalling everything game-related? It's generally the last thing I try, but I'm sure you've tried everything else.
