My Glitches

First off id like to thank everyone here on the exult team, thanks for ressurecting one of the greatest games of all time.

Well ive been playing through serpent isle again and im glad to see that my favorite glitches from the original still exist. I've never seen any of these in print before so i hope you all enjoy.

1. As i posted before, if you cast vibrate on Luther before you win Dupre's Shield off of him you can have 2 Dupre's Sheilds.

2. This one is a little complicated so bear with me :). When in the mountains of freedom there is the room with all the levers. One of these rooms has a teleporter in it, take the teleporter and you end up outside. Once there kill yourself, starvation, poison, whatever. When you die you won't end up in the Mountains but instead in the frozen north. When there enter the second cave to the south and die. Once you die there you will be ressurected in . . . MoonShade. The game will continue as if you excaped the mountains of freedom except you will Permently have Stephano on your team (by the way hes immortal) and your deamon sword will still have its deamon (you will have to release him to get the banes). Like i said a little complicated.

3. After your companions are turned into the banes walk into the previous room and take Selina's corpse out of the room and drop it far away (If you don't do this the game will screw up and you'll be in a infinite loop). Return to the room where you killed Selina and use the hourglass of fate. The monk will appear and tell you you can't go on with out your companions and will create a copy of each of your dead characters who will be in your party till you kill the banes

All of these glitches worked in the original and did not stop me from beating the game normally.

By the way to any exult people does the deamon sword's damage change depending if the deamon is in it or not

The damage done by the sword is the same with or without the deamon in it. However, the sword does less damage in SI than it does in BG.

nice glitches.
1. I found that out myself when I did my first "bug-hunting" beta test of Exult (so it should be in "print" some where in the #exult logs - just to be nitpicky but not to belittle your finding). It's a usecode bug/issue.

the other two sound very interesting. Have to try out myself :-)

I wonder what the html code is for that funky squashed ae character that would be most accurate here?

Well this is odd, hehe, well when you need petra on your team to do the acid walk you have to have less than 5 members to do so and i had 6. Since glitch 3 works at anypoint of time when your missing your main party members i told iolo and shamino to leave and put petra on my team. Normaly i'd do the quest have petra leave then use the glitch to bring back my main team. This time, however, i tried to use glitch before sending petra away. IT WORKED. i now have a 7 member team. im going to try to send away all three of the main companions and get wilfred on my team. so i can fill up all 8 available slots.

hmmm well it looks like the monks don't like Wilfred. I even tried to set up my team the same way i did when i got the glitch to work with Petra. I guess the game doesn't think Wilfred is a nice enough character for the monks to appear infront of

You shouldn't attempt to break the game by adding more than 6 party members in Serpent Isle. You risk problems doing that. The original game would crash in some cases if you tried.

Well going against the good advice of colourless dragon i went ahead and used my ressurection glitch inorder to give my self my 8th companion. By the way the monk is kind of picky so its best if you have one of your companions bodies with you when you ressurect them in this fasion inorder to assure that the monk will appear
