Serpent Bond bug?

hello,
i hope this isn't something that has already been covered... i couldn't find mention of it.
in SI, my serpent bond spell won't seem to wear off. actually, it does wear off... or at least it thinks it does. after a few minutes, my party rejoins me as normal. but i'm in permanent snake form. i never change back to the avatar. it looks like i can probably play through the rest of the game just fine, but it's just not as fun slithering around as a snake.
any ideas on restoring the avatar's shape?

Try getting yourself killed and resurrected by the Monks...I have no idea if that will work but who knows ...

I ran into that, too. My solution was to do an NPC edit on the Avatar, going to change shape and toggling polymorph back to N.

thank you, that worked. i hadn't thought of that (obviously)!
as for the resurrection idea, i didn't even attempt that because i am playing with another bug. when i die, i am transported to the monks, and karnax has his arms out like he is going to speak, but he never does. the game just stays stuck in "cut scene" mode but nothing happens. it's not a big deal... i just make sure i don't die.

Serpent bond seems to expire okay in the latest code, even after a save/restore. Maybe it was broken in an earlier version.

I have the same error Jeff Oakley is experiencing with Karnax freezing up like his usecode is jamming in his throat.
This sequence worked in earlier Exult releases with both the original and the modified UseCode which I use.
Karnax freezes no matter which is loaded.

I have an idea of what is causing this (the Karnax bug) and am trying to fix it; I hope to nail it down soon.
Edit: OK, got it. Will be fixed in the next snapshot.
