Hey,
Dont know if this is the right place to ask, but its all i can find so sorry if its not.
When i was in the cave near Trinsic Iolo was killed, but his body has ended up in the wall, so when i try to pick him up, it says "BLOCKED". Anyone know how i can get the poor guy back in the party?

maybe you should try to cheat and use the hackmover...

Or have Jaana try to resurrect him

And IF JAANAS dead too?!! This happened to me, Jaana died, got stuck, Iolo died, got stuck...I absolutly had to use hackmover.
Its retarded, how realistic is it that you have to pull your companion out of 4 foot thick rock because he died leaning against the wall.

It is like The Matrix on crack.

It's a bug. Use alt-h to go into hack-mover mode or ctrl-alt-m for map-editing mode, and then you should be able to drag him out.

as far as i remember, i had this problem in the original, too.
so maybe it's not a "real" bug in exult.
it also happens to monsters, which means you cannot
grab their loot.
anyway, is it hard to create something like a workaround
for this?

I also kind of remember it happening in the original. It shouldn't happen, but sometimes there's no room for it.

just a thought: is it possible to make characters go
one or two steps to make room for the corpse?
i know, this won't solve problems with items standing
in the way, since they won't move anyway...

I remember one time I powder-kegged a stable, and after the mayhem was over the horse corpses were lying outside the stable, in the streets.

Well, you know what happens when you blow things up. They often fly great distances.... even through walls.

Amazing that the horse corpses stayed in one piece, however.

More amazing is that once they die, they have five legs of beef in their corpse.

well... it may be a prank from the programmers...
after all, if you've ever seen a horse, let's find an ok word,.... err.. happy (!), you might tend to think he's got a fifth leg....

Something that 'Stallion' doesn't have in that new "Spirit" animated
movie. *bleah* Is it just me, a self confessed biology geek, or does
anyone else get a little annoyed about seeing blatently incorrect animal
anatomy?

Well, if the horsie wang was in the movie, you'd get all the little kids giggling. And for some reason, that's a nightmare. Certain body parts are naughty.

You're looking for correct animal genitalia in Disney movies?
Dude, you need a new hobby.

I don't think horses are erect near as much as the general public would have you belive.

ok, IgnitusDragonn, that PROVES you have _NEVER_ seen a happy horse...
the thing is probably as long as their leg...

Indeed, it's true. Going to a camp with horseback riding as an activity unfortunately taught every camper what Artaxerxes just stated.

I've seen horse penises, can we get off this subject, I'll have you ALL know, I DID NOT START THIS SUBJECT ABOUT HORSE PENISES.
Back to original topic, isn't there some way to move the bodies, I mean, you'll notice that some things "bounce" off walls, or slide down them kind of. Isn't there some way to detect where a wall is and make the item drop before it hits it? Instead its as if the item or body is relocated to any area within a few steps.

Also back to the original topic.
Yes, bodies would frequently 'fall' into terrain features (especially walls), which could pose quite a problem when they had a plot-critical item and became 'blocked' from access. (This happened to me with the goblin king in SI more than once.)
Further, while I only remember seeing it in SI - I'm sure it could happen in BG too - sometimes dead monsters would 'fall' underneath the spot that the Avatar was standing on (generally, it was bears that caused this problem, likely because they're larger) - and when this happened, it became impossible to move, the Avatar being 'pinned' by this corpse under him. Hackmoving him off of the corpse fixed the problem, fortunately.

I've seen the same things happen Neutronium, It happened once with a dragon, I suppose it is rather realistic that- if a bear falls on you, you cannot move it off, but this is more of a bug than a feature.

We're just aiming for authenticity here, the original did this too

Aiming for authenticity...that sounds like an excuse for something you don't know how to fix.

Someof the Exult members are in a way more intelligent than some of the original Ultima members, thats how I feel anyway...

I found the discussion of horse penis more interesting than blasphemy.

Heh, well it depends on how you figure, you gotta look at the fact that one group made the code, but another group is on their way to figuring out that code w/ out much help(all they've got is documentation from a few other people).
Does the creator have the most wisdom and knowledge, or does the person who figures out the creators secret have the most wisdom and knowledge. Plus, the exult artists seem more talented, look at the paperdoll faces.

I remember when in the original Shamino was kill in silver seed and it was stuck in the wall of the crematorium in SI.
