Test Of Courage Problem

When I enter the Test Of Courage through the portal and unlock that door, there are no skeletons or headless trying to attack nor is that wizard there trying to sacrifice a baby (the baby is lying there on that small altar).
I also have to add that I used Mark & Recall to get back to the Castle and that that blind mage wasn't there until I left the castle to check where he was and when I came back he just sat down on his chair.
Hack Mover isn't on.

Can you provide a savegame? Maybe several, one when you recall, the other before courage test or right after stepping through the portal...

ok, this is curios, somehow it seems as if nothing works there anymore. Can you backtrack and see when things got screwy? When you left the island and returned?
A new game works fine there, so something must have caused this... And this is without the keyting mod, right?

Yes, it's the normal one (haven't even started the Keyring mod, yet).
One Moment, I have a total of 43 savefiles, so. I'll check.

also, for testing, you can just teleport to the moongate that brings you there and step through.

I casted the "Mark" Spell on the white virtue stone, then casted "Recall" on the orange virtue stone which was already marked in Britain.

where did you cast mark? on the test of love? or after you finished that and returend to the room with the statues?

nevermind, the recalling is causing this to happen.
I have no idea why.
(also just cheat teleporting away and back causes this, too)
Edit: seems to happen with all my snapshots dating back to May 2010, no idea if this always broke...

Not sure if it helps, but I always presumed that if you used "Recall" on a virtue stone that hasn't been used, that the spell would fail. When I forgot which virtue stone was used for the "Mark" casting, I used it on the green one. And it teleported me to a shrine.
Guess where I ended up knowing that there's a virtue dedicated to that colour.
Also, the same thing happened when I accidentally used it on the Red Stone.

This is just the printscreen, it doesn't look like that on my monitor.
My monitor is 1680x1050 & 60Hz (not sure if you need it but in case you guys would be thinking that it's a problem on my screen...).
I tweaked with it, just like you told me months ago and this was the best resolution that came out.

sorry, turned out it's not a problem with that. My guess is it's a weird cache out dataloss bug.
I was able to reproduce the problem with a new game by doing the following "easy" steps
Started a new game and did the following:
- cheat-teleported to Britain Museum and got two virtue stones
- cheat-teleported to Castle Britain and got the spell book
- marked the yellow virute stone in the castle yard (Archwizard mode)
- cheat-teleported to the flying carpet
- flew to the east to the isle of fire
- flew around the test of courage begin (south-east tip with the tower)
- landed outside the castle
- stepped in and marked the white stone (Archwizard mode)
- saved this savegame
(now stepped through the test of courage moongate and made sure the mage is still there and reloaded)
To trigger now:
- cast recall on yellow stone
- instantly cast recall on white stone
- walk to the test of courage moongate and step through
- walk south
the mage should be gone now.

Since you have all my savefiles, could you test out something else? You see, I was in Dungeon Wrong just now and got insta-killed by that liche and when I reappeared in the fellowship shelter in Paws. I was lying UNDER the bed instead of in it.
