Welcome, Max!

I should point out that Max (aka Moscow Dragon) was the person who first decoded Usecode, and that was instrumental in making it possible for Exult to be an actual game engine. Up to that point, this project was merely a 'world browser', and had pretty much been dead for several months.

Vivat, Max!:)
Yeah, he is active (*much* more than me, heh) and has discovered Usecode before everyone else did.

That is all fine any nice, but did you have to scare me so much by shouting my name loud, Jeff?

"The Silmarillion" is my favourite book. I even read it in English original.

Max: Hey, Silmarillion is also my favourite book, and I too read it in English!(I didn't ever see the Russian translation, so I wonder how it is worse from original) What a strange occurency!

Oleg, there are 2 Russian Silms - by Grigorieva and by Gil-Estel.
Gil-Estel's translation is literally exact but not-so-good-in-terms-of-Russian, Grigorieva is vice versa.

Once I was on the Russian email list on Tolkien (wow, I even was the moderator there once!) - and we (the celebrities of Russian Tolkien fandom like Katrin Kinn were there too) had the idea to translate the book once more as an amateur effort.

BTW - ever read the "Black Silmarillion" where Melkor is good and Eru is evil?

"Black Silmarillion"? Heard about it, but never read it. Maybe some parts of it? Or not it? I remember reading something like this, but it may be it or may be not.
I remember that I read "Zvir'marillion" though.
