To all Exult players:

We would like to announce our presence on the SourceForge domain. From now on, most development will be visible online to all the community via the webcvs interface. Additionally, SF hosts forums, docs and bug tracking tools for your conveniance.

You would like to inform you also of the progress in the translation. A new tool is partialy developed that would amazingly speed up the releases for usecode patches, thanks to cvs and perl. We welcomed a new member in the team, HellBar, who will be working on pure translation.

We need help. If you are french speaking, please contact us for testing. We are far from being finished our translation effort but the more people try it out, the better the work will be. Download our patches at www.serpentisle.fr.st (not yet on SF) and the latest Exult CVS (will not work with Beta).

We would like to thank the Exult team for giving us the means and the encouragement to translate Serpent Isle in French. Without them we would be no where from started.

The patches we distribute are made with IPS (thx Suraimu). The patcher is included in the zip files. We distribute a usecode patch, a brand new text.flx and a shapes.vga patch. Tested under Linux (Mandrake 8.0 and 8.1), and Windows (XP).

FYI: the CVS repository at SF does not contain much. I am currently preparing it to receive most of our work. All you will find is a pre-alpha release of the tool mentioned in the preceding post and one diff.

Nothing hosted in the SF's CVS is ready for use. So please download from our site rather than from SF for now.

hmm i dunno if a german version of serpent isle or bg exists, but if you need help ask me.

I think there exist a german version of BG. Maybe other Exulter would like to confirm.

As for Serpent Isle, AFAIK it was released only in English.

German version of BG exists. We have fixed a number of bugs in Exult when playing that particular version of the game.

Does no one read the FAQ?
Just joking, see http://exult.info/faq.php#u7_versions if you read this right you will see that there was indeed a German version of BG, as well as French and Spanish. FoV was only released in English (AFAIK) and we always thought that SI/SS were English only but there is aSpanish version that seems to have been localized by the Spnaish distributor or something.

i only know that i played u8 in german, hmm now I got the collection and thats only english versions(:( and all versions would be better:))
