Freebie: Original Ultima games

I'd like to contribute to the Exult team, but at this point I'm not offering code, new graphics, or even documentation help.
Instead, I'd like to offer perk to a contributor that the other contributor(s) choose. There are two gotchas;
* To vote, you have to be a contributor to Exult.
* Don't vote for Jeff -- he has already said he has enough original copies of Ultima.
Here's what's on offer;
* An original boxed Ultima VII with the cloth map (but no manual
)
It's just about in new condition; two metal runes, the registration card, a 3.5" to 5.25" disk exchange card, even the unbroken diskette strap holding the disks together.
Also, if the Exult contributors can't decide on who deserves the U7 box, there is an additional bonus;
* An original Ultima VI (OEM bagged version still sealed with color paper map).
I would be glad to mail one or both of these to the person(s) the contributors decide on.

Two metal runes? Can I have one? Please? I lost the one that came with my original u7bg game.
Don't worry, I know I got buckly's and none of a chance of seeing one.

Hm, I would gladly take those
Actually I have enough copies of Ultima 7 as well but the cloth map and the runes are something I would give my hand for
(the left one).
So if no one else wants them I'll gladly take them...
But then again, perhaps some other good use could be found for this set.

I'm not deciding...it's the Exult contributors.
My role is to hand out what's on offer after the contributors decide. How you divide it up, is up to you...

You honestly expect each one of us, not to vote for ourselves

I didn't say that.
If you decide for yourself that "Me, Myself, and I" are the best candidates, knock yourself out. Still, it's going to be a draw if everyone does that!

Cut the U7 box and everything inside into small but equally sized pieces, and give a piece to each contributor.

I already have the original 3.5" versions of BG and SI, so I vote myself out
I vote for Dominus (you owe me one now

A note on the two metal runes: They're duplicates.
Mailing off a single rune in a diskette mailer would be an option.

The deadline...
Out of fairness, I'll hold off on shipping anything till Tuesday so that everyone can have a say (just in case someone doesn't check the board on weekends).
The pieces...
* Ultima VII -- Almost new condition. Cloth map but no manual. All the other goodies including a metal rune.
* A single Ultima VII metal rune (same as the one above).
* Ultima VI -- Paper map, unopened OEM version.
At this point, depending on the vote results, I intend to ship these pieces seperately to different people. If you want to break out anything else -- say the UVII cloth or UVI paper maps, the other rune, ... -- post a note.
Voting...
If you're listed on the
http://exult.info/about.php page, you can vote. If you're not, and someone else can vouch that you are a contributor, you can vote. Otherwise...dems d breaks.

I have Ultima 7 (Complete, that bundle edition), so I'd be interested in it... however, since I don't even have a PC anymore, and since it's not that important to me, and since Dominus showed interest, I also vote for him on that (with Nadir that makes three votes
But I'd be interested in the Ultima VI box, since I don't have a copy of Ultima VI. So I vote myself for that one.
But I am not greedy, if somebody else of the team is interested, just say so.

I vote For Fingolfin on the U VI copy.
Thanks for your votes so far

I'll concur with voting for Dominus for the U7 set, especially since he's done both testing and documentation, jobs which a lot of us find distasteful:-)

Since you are all guy very friendly, I'll add to Dominus for U7 and Fingolfin for U6 (if someone else _REALLY_ want u6, he will just have to ask Fongolfin for the pack).

If you want them, that's ok by me: ie. Dominus for U7, Fingolfin for U6.
Oh, Artaxerxes isn't on the About Us page, but I'll vouch for him

thx Willem!
I didn't read the conditions right so I though I could participate as long as I was registered in the exult forum!

I'm quite interested in the U6 copy, cause i don't have any original ultima game boxes(only the collection):( but as i haven't really contributed to exult very much (near to nothing, sorry guys still learning c++) I think I have no hope:)

Oi okay ....
I have the following Ultima VII's:
Ultima VII original boxed (cloth map is kicking around somewheres in my closet)
Ultima VII that came as a package with Creative Labs Soundblaster.
Ultima VII Serpent Isle original boxed. Lost the map somewheres under my bed. Manual hasnt been touched. Short of being filed into my bookcase.
The Complete Ultima VII. Complete? Sure, just look at the paperthin manual
And the Ultima VII in the Ultima Collection.
That said, give it to Colourless. He seems lonely over there
Just my two cents worth,
Valliant Dragon
No one said ExultStudio was easy, but Rome wasn't burned in a day.
