Love Quest in Forge of Virtue

I don't know whether I'm doing something wrong or there's a bug.

When I go to resurrect Adjhar...

I place the blood from the tree on the 5 stones.

I read the scroll that falls out of the book.

Bollux sacrifices himself and drops his heart on Adjhar.

I place the heart in Adjhar's body inventory.

I read the scroll again.

The Avatar says the words and the tree does its little sparkly thing.

But, there's no lightning, and no one says "Stand Back" which I remember from the original (and the first time I played though this sequence in Exult).

And more importantly, Adjhar's body disappears and does not come back to life.

Am I missing something?

It used to work, but it sounds like it's broken. I'll try it tonight with my savegame.

I recall that I had to do it a couple times the first time I went through this part of the game with Exult. It worked before, but not this time.

Thanks. :)

What preys upon my mind most about this whole affair is why they chose the name "Bollux". I spent hours trying to figure out the dirty meaning behind "Adjhar".

I never noticed that. I guess we Americans never use that word. :)

what's the dirty meaning behind Bollux?

Not-native-english-speaking Artaxerxes

bollux sounds like bollocks.
Which is slang for testicles.

That sequence seems to work okay for me. Could you submit a bug report with a zipped savegame?

adjhar sounds a lot like ajar - meaning "half open"
not much sense there apart from how he opens up his chest to get his heart out...
