The dead

I was wondering if the "House of the Dead" areas are working. The places I'm talking about are the carpeted area inside the moutains west of Cove in BG and the far northwest corner in SI. After killing some NPC's, I go to these places and find them empty (or in SI, they only have the important NPCs that will be use later). So, the question is, where do the dead go?

I didn't know about those when writing the code for NPC's dying. In Exult, they really do leave the world, although they still exist.

They go to the coordinates 4000+, 4000+, 0; right? Sometimes NSCs that are not supposed to go there as well. (Caladin, for instance.) I teleported to the house of death to fetch him back, but he wasn't there. :(

Yeah, will this ever be fixed?

What is there to be fixed? Exults way is IMO a bit cleaner then the original's. If some NPC goes away (like for example after the banquet scene in Moonshade the Magelord teleports away) and is meant to be unaccessible during that time, he truly is inaccessible...

The House of the Dead was just an interesting feature in the original. It would be nice to see it still work that way in Exult.

It would be fairly trivial to change BUT it will likely cause bugs in places and we'd have to code Exult with more game specific code which isn't a good thing.

So, the answer is no

My name is Manuel Calavera. I'll just take some more of this bread to honor the dead.
