Unless I missed it, there doesn't seem to be a use sextant key. Did I miss it, or am i just dumb?

just doubleclick the sextant. Or do you mean that there is no shortcut key.

Yeah, I'm lazy and want a shortcut key. I keep forgetting where it is in my inventory. Need a better way to look at your inventory.

You should have a file called defaultkeys.txt in your Exult or Exult/data folder.
Open that in notepad and find the line "S save_restore". Delete that line and replace it with "S useitem 650". (without quotes) Then you will be able to press S in the game to look at your sextant.

Actually you'll need to extract it from the exult.flx with expack in the tools folder, edit exult.cfg and replace (default) with defaultkeys.txt and then edit defaultkeys.txt like I said above.
It would take a little too long for me to explain further now.
