This is something I haven't been able to figure out on my own.. is there a way to get the extra BG paperdoll art that Exult has added to show up and be able to be edited in Exult Studio? It's a few years late for me to be asking, I know; but if so how, and if not why not?

Mind that I mean the basic stuff I made before and was added in and the stuff that is still unchanged, not anything that would be added by a mod (as I know that will show up).

hmm, I know there is a way but I don't know anymore and have no working studio atm...
Perhaps if you put the exult_bg.flx in the static folder.

Blah.. nope, didnt even notice it. I then changed the file extension to .vga for it just to see if it would work and while it did notice it then and indeed let me see a few of the art files from it, none of the viewable ones were the paperdoll art.

Or put the individual shape file in there. Or use gimp with those

Oh. Duh. There's a gimp plugin and tools. Sorry... completely slipped my mind somehow. My fault entirely.

I thought your aim was to view it in ES even though you could use Gimp...

Nope.. had just totally forgotten. Don't quite like gimp that much either, but that's a different issue.

I, on the other hand, would still like to know how you might get to those graphics with Exult Studio in case I should want to modify them.

If you want to modify them grab them from the source directly.
