Hi there, I'm running Feudal Lands (with the keyring mod). I keep getting an error when I try and hammer the sword blank in the Forge of Virtue. It says the edge gets better, but that's it.


I found an old topic on this, and I set the global flags to: 815, 818, 819, 820, 822, 823, 827, 848.
, which allows me to put the Demon in the gem. BUT, it won't let me put the gem in the sword because the sword blank never changes quality.

Is there another global flag I need to change? Any help is MUCH appreciated, thanks!

I guess what I'm asking, is there a global setting that makes it so you have the Black Sword? I don't need to forge it, I just wanted it in the game.

The sword blank needs to be frame 15. You also need to talk to Erethian about the sword. Now Arcadion should be able to bond after talking to him about the sword.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, with the global flags I changed it lets me talk to Erethian, and Arcadion is inside the gem too. So the only thing I can't figure out is how to make the sword blank be "frame 15". Is that something I do from the F2 Cheat Menu, or something more complicated? If you could point me in the right direction, I'd be really grateful!

I tried going to mods/src/misc/blacksmithing and then opening up functions using Notepad and then had no idea what to do from there.

Don't muck around with the source of any mod unless you know what to do, especially as you'd need to compile it to usecode in the end...
Use the shape browser its create shape function. Don't know the item number but it's not that many to browse (hint: browse backwards)

I don't have Exult Studio, is that the only way to do that? Or can I access it through the F2 cheat menu?

Ok cool, so I tried it and here's what I found:

With global flags on: 815, 818, 819, 820, 822, 823, 827, 848, I created a sword blank and set it to frame 15.
The demon in the gem still won't bond with it, saying both need to be in my hands (I was holding both).

I then just created a Black Sword using the shape browser. When I try to access it's powers, there is no option for death etc. The demon just says that I'm already filled with power.

Update = I turned off those global flags, and used the gem and it then allowed me to break the mirror, and bonded with the sword blank. Thanks for the advice, and hopefully this will help anyone else who runs into the same issue.
