Controlling monsters/npcs

Greetings!
This question is for those who can utilize the more programming aspects of Exult.
Is it possible to dictate the coordinates of the standing position (frame 0) of an npc or "monster"? For example, I am working on new bat graphics. I need a frame for "standing", though I want to draw the frame as a bat hanging upside down (like real bats), and have the bat fly to a specific spot in order to transition to frame 0.
I hope that I am making sense! I may also need this to happen for other animals, such as pterodactyls, parrots, and butterflies.
Also, is it possible to have creatures fly up to different Z coordinates (and stand)?
