Exult Forum

I need help. I have read the FAQs and the README files and I am not figuring it out.

I am installing from "The Complete Ultima VII" CD-ROM c 1992-93.

I inflate the files and create folders for both games. One is Ultima7 and the other is Serpent. They are both at the C: drive level.

C:\Ultima7
C:\Serpent

I did not edit any of the sound options. Once I installed the games, I updated the exult.cfg with there locations. I just identify it down to the folder level, correct? and not the actual .exe?

I am getting the error that Exult cannot find the static data for either game.

Please help.

I use the install shortcut in the folder and choose not to use a boot disk. Do I need to install from a C prompt or something?

For exult you don't need to do anything with the old installer once you already have the files. Where is the file "usecode" in both folders? (c:\ultima7\static and c:\serpent\static?)
And please copy/paste your exult.cfg here.
