I assume there will be no news post citing the changes Exult has gotten through this year?

Well, if exult is perfected then its time to start putting some add on's and or doing more than just Ultima 7 with this engine! :^)

Can't say if Marzo is serious or not but at least Exult changelog has seen increased number of updates of late. Last time Marzo was this active was around May last year.

To be truthful, I have to give thanks for the project going on for this long. This is an insane amount of time for a program and is clearly a labor of love. I wish the guys working on Nuvie had the same fire going. =(

I am so looking forward to a new update and a possible new version.
I've this urge to play Ultima 7 again, but I'm afraid that there might be a major update soon right after I finish playing it. :D

But really, dev guys, even if there wouldn't be any update ever, I love you all, for keeping my favourite game(s) of all time playable on modern systems and spending so much of your personal time to make it happen.

*sniff* /happy

You can always use the snapshot. A realease NOW would be nothing else than the snapshot with a bigger release number...

I didn't know that. Thank you very much. I'll try it out. :)
And, really, you folks are awesome. (In case you didn't know already. *cough*)

I dont know what more you think you would get out of it with a new release..
The games have been playable and beatable 100% for awhile now. Its really just been tweaks to the way the game runs lately..
I know I finished the Black Gate and FoV quite awhile ago and just because of laziness the last couple of years finally beat SI earlier this year.. But Ive been playing them since 1.2 and up with no troubles..

Id say just grab that snapshot and go to town! You can always play it again if a release adds some magically new functionality to the game.. Its not like Ive been playing the games over and over since I first bought em in the 90s. ;)

Richard Garriott did a kick ass job in making a series of games that you STILL want to come back to and replay after god knows how many times you finish them. I can run through Ultima IV/V/VI without even using any cheats or taking notes now.. The mantras and everything are so permanently embedded in my head its sick.. Damn you Origin! Damn you for creating worlds I cant get rid of 20+ years later!!!

(Ok I admit I still need a map of the underworld to get around in U5...)
