Bug with Ships?

I'm using the latest version with Win 2000 and am having a devil of a time with ships. When I click on the sail, my characters won't all sit down. Most will find a seat and sit in it, but one or two will often just stand there. Of course, if all aren't sitting, the ship won't go.
I even kicked Tseramed out of the party because for a while he was the most notorious non-sitter.
using a ship is a huge trial for me because I've got to try over and over ot get them to sit down. Try, move around, try, move around, try, movie around, etc.
I've also had problems with blakc squares appearing in dungeons. When you walk on the square you get the "outside" view of the dungeon.
Finally, in Jhelom, the bridge between west and east stopped working. Halfway across, the characters acted as though they couldn't walk any further (from either side). I had the same thing happen with a bridge of planks in a dungeon.
Apart from these things, I am having a blast playing this game again. Thanks so much to the team and good luck with Serpent Isle!
