I've just setup the latest stable Exult and have pretty much everything to my liking, but I've noticed one thing.

I'm able to get Exult to talk to my external Munt install for the music just fine, though obviously it won't play the MT-32 sound effects since Exult doesn't support that.

However, I'm unable to get Exult to recognize the pre-recorded Soundblaster SFX files in the data folder at all. It will play the pre-recorded MT32 SFX fine, but even when the Soundblaster files are there I don't get the option to select them and it just plays the MT32 SFX.

I'm not sure which is commonly considered "better" on the SFX side, but I was hoping to test both, but just can't get the SB version to work. Any ideas?

The best is my own pack (buried somewhere and not being linked to for a long time mow).
You can only chose between the packs in the games not in the main menu setup.

Can you copy/paste your exult.cfg and the name and exact location of your sb sfx files?

Oddly it seems to be working now. I deleted and recopied the files and I'm able to select between the two now. Odd.

I do think I prefer the MT-32 SFX though, but I think the MT-32 version is missing some sound effects that the SB version does if I remember correctly. It's been so long since I played.
