FoV Test of Love. Help!

I'm having a problem with the Test of Love and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a problem with the game.
After I revive the first golem (pour the blood, read the scroll, golem rips his heart out, rocks catch on fire, etc.) I go to get the heart and the blood to revive the other golem. When I get back to the first screen, the rocks are still on fire, and I can't pour the blood on them while they're still on fire. Sometimes all of them will be on fire, sometimes three, sometimes four. I've tried going to different areas, resting, etc. but they just keep on burning and I can't complete the test.
This is the second time I've played through the Test of Love with Exult, and the first it worked fine. I don't think I've done anything differently the second, third, fourth, and fifth times around.

This isn't the first time we've heard of the problem. It does seem like it would be an Exult problem.
The other person to have it used the dispel field spell on the flames to get rid of them and it worked. Chances are, if you don't have the spell, you could probably 'cheat' by using exult's delete item function to remove the flames.
To use the delete item function, put the mouse cursor over the item you want to delete, then press Ctrl-D on your keyboard. Just be careful though, you wont want to delete the wrong thing, such as one of the stones.
Also, what version of exult are you using?

I'm using 1.1.
I didn't have the spell so I deleted the flames and it worked fine.

1.1 what? Beta1? Beta2? One of the snapshots?
If you are using a win32 version of exult, you really should use the snapshots, if you aren't already:

What are the snapshots?
I'm also having an issue (it doesn't really bother me, just wondering why) with objects that are supposed to be inside containers appearing on top of the containers. Like clothes on top of dressers and gold on top of chests.

That is one bug they recently fixed in the snapshots Melissa. It was actually duplicating items every time you travelled or teleported away some distance and later returned. The most recent snapshot is listed near the bottom of the download page.

Only new games.. existing chests that have already 'spilled their guts' in your existing saves will remain duplicated, but it will prevent any more chests you encounter from having the same problem.

I'm working on the Test-O-Love bug. It should be fixed in the next few days (maybe tonight with some luck). As already mentioned, one work-around is to use the 'd' cheat to delete the flames on the rocks. Also, the bug won't show up if you wait around after casting the spell until the flames disappear by themselves.

Just a quick note: I had the test-of-love bug happen to me... only for two of the five stones though. IIRC, I was able to put blood on the stones anyway, just as long as I clicked in the right spot.

I'm having a different problem in this area. I target the stones with the bucket of blood, but nothing happens. I have the Keyring mod installed and noticed that it alters the bucket functions in some way. Has it been verified that the changes are compatible with the Test of Love? There seems to be code in the new bucket function for it, but as I said, nothing happens when I target the stones.

Dominus is right. The new bucket code is Alun Bestor's; I'll compare it to the original code meanwhile to see what is different.

OK, the code was Alun Bestor's but the bug was mine own; for consistency with other array functions, I switched the parameters of one function called in the bucket code but forgot to update the call accordingly. It is fixed now.
