I think that the pickpocket feature should allow you to open locked chests without unlocking them. I used to use the alt-4 item dump cheat a lot on People and chests, but it's not supported in exult. Fortunately Pickpocket is even more efficient, except for chests. I've had to resort to exploiting the chest content duping bug. I just think it's a logical feature of the pick-pocket cheat.

I'd like to see a cheat to let us open locked chests, too, but in the mean time, you can just delete the chest, causing the contents to dump onto the ground. I don't remember the delete key combination at the moment, but it's in the docs.

What is the chest content dubing bug, by the way?

the "chest content dubbing bug" was introduced around pre-beta1 and only fixed post-beta2...
When you got close to a chest and then went far away and returned the contents of a chest (or any container?) were duplicated and outside.
