I decided to make this a separate topic since these are not part of the Ultima 7 soundtrack remake.

I've been slowly remaking the music from Ultima Online using a combination of realistic instrument libraries. I plan to eventually do every song from the game, but due to the complexity of the songs, this will probably take several years to complete. These songs are the original MIDI songs from Ultima Online before they switched to pre-recorded audio and changed the soundtrack entirely. These are, in my opinion, superior songs compared to the newer ones.

I've completed two town themes in the past, which are listed below.

I've spent some time today updating several of the songs from this album. I still need to update "Trinsic", but the other four songs are updated. Some of the instruments have been replaced with ones from my better instrument libraries.

Sorry I haven't updated this topic in forever. Not since 2015, which is a long time to go without an update. Most of the Youtube links in this thread are now dead. :/

I wish we could get some new music to add to Exult.

I already covered the entire Ultima 7 soundtrack.

I won't write new music for the game. Why would I?

As you are both talented and knowledgeable of the score, it would be a wonderful resource for modders to have original music to include that fits with the original work.

That would take far too much time and effort on my part to write an all new score for the entire game.

Imagine asking the Exult team to create an all new Ultima VII. No art or assets to work from the original game. No. All new game with all new art and assets. That's the kind of work it would take to write an all new score.

Not a full score, just a track or two. Not terribly different that I'm doing with the unfinished business mod.

Well.. maybe. I'm not feeling very creative at the moment.

These are great, I love how they sound. As a Castlevania fan, I'm also happy to find your work on Super Castlevania IV too.

I would love to hear the Trinsic theme once it's back up, that was one of my favorites.

The music for all the Ultima games is always consistently amazing, IMO, even in some of the not-so-great games like Pagan or Ascension.

If only we could find a way to incorporate music into Ultimas 1 and 2....

I've completed a couple remasters of some of these songs. They went from simple remasters to complete re-recordings of all of the instruments. I think they're decent improvements over my original covers.

Another cover updated. I re-recorded almost everything in the song. This is the last of the songs I needed to remaster for the Ultima Online album. The whole album's been remastered.
