I check this site every few months for any updates to this great engine. But it's been a really long time since there's been any word of progress. Is this project dead? Or will an update of Exult be coming soon? Thanks.

There has been continuous, if slow, progress in the Exult snapshots. We're mainly in the bug-fixing stage, since, as far as we know, Black Gate and Serpent Isle are completely working.

As far as new development, Marzo has been doing a lot of work on his mods, which you can read about in previous threads.

I'm not sure when we'll do the next "official" release, but it should be safe to use the daily snapshots.

Keep an eye on the Changelog (on the Downloads page) to see what's happening. Releases are only announced when the devs are really sure most bugs have been squashed and it's as stable as possible.

At the moment the dailies are fairly stable, and add a heap of fixes to both code and functionality not present in 1.2

Well the snapshots haven't been touched in about a month really. Marzo was doing most of what was added lately anyway, and he's unable to do much online from things in real life currently, so this place really is kinda dead at the moment. :\

Ah. I guess I haven't downloaded a snapshot in about a month then.
