Ultima related Easter Egg in Unreal II??

Hi!

Just played a bit with Unreal II. The first time you're on board the Atlantis, look around the ship and open all panels/hatches on the floor. Under one of them is a Seagoat that you can talk to.

You can ask him about "Spam", "Spam", "Spam" and finally "Humbug"
He then tells you that "Lincoln is pleased!" but I have yet to find out what exactly it does...

So, were the Unreal II developers Ultima VI fans? Or is that phrase ("Spam, Spam, Spam, Humbug") related to something entirely different?

Just a little note to let you know (if you didn't already) that there is a bit of an easter egg in Unreal II. Before the first briefing, go up the ladder, turn left, and open the hatch, and you will see a SeaDog. 'Talk' to him, and continue to choose the word 'Spam', until you see 'Humbug'. At that point, you will see the message, 'Lincoln is pleased!' on your screen, and instead of the soldier's face on the screen during the distress call portion of the first briefing, there will be a portrait of Abe Lincoln!

"Spam, Spam, Spam, Humbug" is not Ultima related, it is something different entirely :-)
