Paperdoll Art

Hey guys,

I’m interested in doing some work for U7. What I want to be doing is making “art” for the paperdolls. New pictures for things that don’t have them, ect. I think you know what I mean? If you do know what I mean, can someone give me some links to applications that may help me out? I don’t know anything about this yet, I need to know things like how to take the pics out, put them back in and maybe create new objects in the game. I’ll also need to know what format the pictures will have to be. I’m probably not making much sense because I don’t really know what I’m talking about, so I hope someone here does!

Thanks a lot!
KG

Make sure you see docs/art.txt to see what needs to be done. The graphics are "shapes" that can be created with The GIMP, for example, using the plug-in that comes with the Exult source code. You have to use the 'expack' tool, which also comes with Exult, to put the shape files you create into the flx data files. If your making paperdolls, Exult has to be modified (edit the source code) to load your new art when the character has a certain item on their person. Or you can just offer your art to the team and let them test it before adding it.

Alright, I'll explore what you've put there and see how I do. You guys don't mind me filling up your discussion forum with all my questions then? :)
