New song!

Title: Kilrathi Theme

Filename: 39bg.ogg

Available: http://jdharding.bandcamp.com/track/39bg-kilrathi-theme

Sorry it took so long to continue work on these songs.

I also added Cave SFX and Forest SFX songs. I think I messed up on the forest one. It's supposed to be Sea SFX. I'll fix it later. The cave one works fine, though. Plays in caves and dungeons.

Individual song download is once again available. To use it, simply click on one of the song titles to go to that song's page, then use the download link to download just that song. This is for anyone that doesn't want to download the full album.

New song!

Title: Credits Theme 1

Filename: endcr01.ogg

Available: http://jdharding.bandcamp.com/track/end ... ts-theme-1

This is just a combination of various themes. I didn't have one of the MIDI files from the original credits theme, so I replaced it with the Theme of Love.

Just wanted to thank you JD, your remake is excellent! I've listened the whole soundtrack dozens of times already. :)

New!!

Title: Quotes

Filename: endcr02.ogg

Available: http://jdharding.bandcamp.com/track/endcr02-quotes

Comments: A pretty simple song. I used a combination of different drum kits to achieve the sound I wanted.

These are amazing. I am quite impressed. Thanks so much for your hard work and diligence in giving these pieces the love they deserve.

I can't wait to see what you do with the Castle of White Dragon. It's one of the genre's creepiest themes. I love it. That, and the Ophidian Scroll theme.

Title: The Ophidian Scroll

Filename: si02.ogg

Available: http://jdharding.bandcamp.com/track/si0 ... ian-scroll

Comments: This took only a couple hours. I did what I could with the theme.

NEW!!

Title: Guardian Arrival

Filename: end01bg.ogg

Available: http://jdharding.bandcamp.com/track/end ... an-arrival

Comments:

This didn't take too long since it's so short. I used as many of my bigger instrument libraries as possible.

There's only 1 song remaining for The Black Gate's soundtrack, which is the other guardian arrival theme.

UPDATE!!

Title: Market Place

Filename: 19bg.ogg

Available: http://jdharding.bandcamp.com/track/19bg-market-place

Comments:

So I got my hands on a copy of Berlin Solo Woodwinds Expansions A and B. These have flutes, oboes, bassoons, clarinets, etc. All heavily and meticulously sampled from real instruments. So I decided to test out the flute on this song here since it would be fairly easy to do so. Tell me if you like the new flute or not. It replaces the old outdated Miroslav flute. I also dropped the organ down an octave to give the song a little bass.

UPDATE!!

Title:
- Victory
- Orchestral I
- Orchestral II
- Fight's End
- Fanfare of Lord British
- Fanfare of Progress
- Fanfare of Courage

Available: http://jdharding.bandcamp.com/album/ultima-7

Comments:

These were updated using CineBrass Core and CineBrass Pro libraries, and my new Berlin Woodwinds library. Hopefully this is a noticeable improvement over the originals.

The minimum price is $5 not $0

I had to start charging for the album because people were downloading it 20 times a day and I have very limited free downloads. So I have to charge for the download now.

Hmm, that's unfortunate and will probably hinder many people...

It is unfortunate that people are doing that, but I know that from my first listen through, it is well worth the $5! I'll gladly pay up later today when I get home from work. :)

It sounds like the money is needed for hosting, so are you ok with others hosting copies of this (with full attribution) and sharing it? What license are you willing to distribute it under?

It's not for hosting. It's for keeping people from downloading it free.

Now I'm confused. I thought the tracks were meant to be free and the hosting was a problem because you had limited free downloads. But now you say you don't want people downloading it for free?

In a sense it is for hosting, but I don't pay to use Bandcamp. So they give me free download credits. I don't pay them money, but I do in a sense pay them every time someone buys an album. They get 15% of every sale. So I set an album without a minimum price, and people don't pay. They just download it free 20 times a day, using up 20 free download credits a day. At that rate I run out of freebies within a few weeks. So to stop this I have to charge a minimum fee. This is also why individual track downloading has been disabled.

I could just let the freebies run out each month and people will have to start buying the album again, OR wait until my account's free credits start over again.

It's set to no minimum fee again. I'll just let the free credits run out each month.

If you want to distribute this awesome creative work at no charge, and you don't want to deal with band camp's freebie limit stifling your popularity, you can license it under something from https://creativecommons.org/choose/ that attributes back to your name and website.

People will be able to freely share it amongst themselves under the condition that they attribute it to you, you will get more popular and you won't have to "run out of freebies" since they can just give it to each other or host it somewhere with that license. If your website has a donate button, then people who really want more tracks/work will donate.

Anyone violating that license would be committing copyright infringement (aka "piracy").

(Now that I think about it, you are selling derivative work, I am assuming that you got a license from EA to do this, otherwise you'd be the one committing copyright infringement and also profiting from it. Good job getting anywhere with EA's legal)

The remake soundtrack is now gone.

That's all I'll say about it here.

If you follow me on Tumblr; you already know why.
